Net-a-Porter used to be a great company, but it has gotten so incredibly horrible that l will no longer shop there, ever! I purchased a pair of extremely expensive ( $18,000) earrings and wanted to return them. L was just stunned that they require UPS GROUND SERVICE! Seriously? This isn't a clothing item, but a valuable pair of earrings and they should be sent back by priority OVERNIGHT SERVICE!

What decent company thinks it is acceptable to ship such a valuable item by ground service? Not only are there delays with ground service, but multiple lost packages, especially during both the pandemic and the holiday season. Oh wait…l get it! If the parcel gets lost, l am expected to wait for over six to twelve months for a lost package investigation before l receive a refund. No way!

I called both customer service and my personal shopper, Rosalia Romero, to request an overnight shipping label. Both parties guaranteed that l would receive either a response, or a new shipping label, within 24 hours at the most. I received neither. Instead, l got a lot of incredibly horrible attitude from their customer service department, the "special" customer service department that caters only to so-called VIP clients. What a joke! Although the phone number is different from the "regular " customer service number, it is the same representatives, and they are so unhelpful and dismissive.

Buyer be very, very, aware, especially when purchasing more expensive items!

I had already seen the horrible reviews and warnings about Design Public before ordering a Cane-line outdoor sofa. Unfortunately, Design Public is one of the few Cane-line vendors in the USA.

I waited several months for the sofa to arrive which it finally did in December 4th. Unfortunately, it arrived in pieces due to damage during shipping. I did not accept the item and it was returned.

I called their customer service number several times and was constantly given the run-around. They insisted on replacing it when l wanted a refund. They contacted me a few days later to say that they had refunded me. Well, they never refunded me! I paid through PayPal and would have received a notification from PayPal as soon as the refund process had begun.

Almost two weeks has gone by and still no refund, just a lot of dishonesty and unscrupulous business practices on the part of Design Public. I have escalated a claim with PayPal to get back the money that is owed to me.

Stay far, far away from this unethical, dishonest company.

Horrible experience from start to finish!

I ordered a $6000 handbag plus sweater and it took a few weeks to arrive. When the items did finally arrive, the box was all but destroyed! Their packing department had the temerity to just throw two very costly items in a box with ZERO lining or protection!

Who on earth dumps a $6000 handbag in a an oversized box with no interior box or lining to protect it? No wonder the bag and sweater arrived in a trashed state! No wonder the box was literally falling apart too!

Shame on Fendi and your absolute arrogance!

Never, ever shopping with this so-called company again!

This company is just horrible! I ordered a skirt from their website and not only did it arrive crammed (and very wrinkled) into a tiny FedEx box, it was so wet that the tissue paper in the box had absorbed the dyes from the skirt. The FedEx box was bone dry on the outside, so it had to have been packed wet. No protective plastic cover for the skirt either.

I am just appalled any so-called reputable company would do something so disgraceful! The return label was so wet it was barely legible, but fortunately the folks at FedEx were able to salvage it and back to Italy it goes.

They better dare not charge me return duties for returning clearly damaged goods! I will fight it all the way!

  • MATCHESFASHION

I have contacted matchesfashion.com several times about my concerns; however, I NEVER received a reply! The last straw came a few days ago with yet another item on my wish list selling out before I was even notified it was in stock (Prada Item #*******). I already lost out on the Chloe shirt in the size 42 as I had purchased it only to receive an email the following day stating that my order had been canceled as it was sold to another customer! SHAME ON YOU! I ordered the size 40, at the pressure of a stylist, knowing full well it would be too small and it was! I would never ever have received my last order if I had not checked my email when I did. It too was on my useless wish list and I received an email that it was low in stock. I never received an email when it arrived in stock! The wish list is a total scam! I am well and truly finished with Matches and will NEVER shop with you again. And no, don't even bother humiliating me with some useless credit of $25. What an insult that is.

If you are looking for a seamless consignment experience, than this is not it!

I have placed countless items from handbags to jewelry to clothing on consignment with TRR for the last few months.

My items have been marked down significantly without my knowledge and sold before I was given the option of having them returned to me. For example, a MIU MIU handbag that I purchased for $2500 the month prior to consigning it, was originally marked at $1595 and then got marked down to $875 plus 20% off unbeknownst to me. I spent over four hours trying to get a price adjustment for the TRR's deception.

BEWARE AND CHECK YOUR "MY SALES'" PAGE EVERYDAY FOR YOUR OWN PROTECTION!

Also be very aware that your items will be priced incredibly inconsistently! For example, I placed a Stella McCartney skirt on sale and it was priced at $345. I recently consigned the exact same skirt, but different pattern, and it was priced at $90. This is just one of SEVERAL items that have been inconsistently priced. You would truly do much better at Crossroads!

Several of my items have been photographed incorrectly. For example, a jacket that is leather on the outside, was photographed inside out with the lining showing as the outside. There was no leather shown in the photos or in the description.

I pleaded with TRR to please photograph /describe the item correctly only to be met with a complete lack of interest. This has happened with several items and I have subsequently had to request a return of the items. It has been over a month and I have still have not received any of the items back!

Indeed, the photography is generally pretty horrible and many items get returned because TRR is not currently capable of keeping up with demand and they take horrible and inaccurate photos.

If you want to sell quickly, then TRR is definitely not the right place! If you are lucky, then your items may finally go on sale a month after they are received by TRR. Most likely' however, it will be 6-8 weeks.

TRR is not capable of meeting demand and should, in fairness, STOP TAKING CONSIGNMENTS, until they are capable of handling them properly.

And although you, the Consignor, are TRR's bread and butter, you will be taken for granted.

I was a Lovely Skin customer for years until they sent me a soon-to-expire NeoCutis product and then tried to blame me for their selling products that expire in less than a year after purchase.

They used to be so good, but as of late, their practices and customer service are absolutely abysmal.

Plenty of other options out there for skin care products, especially for those companies that truly value their long-term customers.
