I purchased a sweatshirt, with a custom printed message, from an online company called Cotosen on 11-1-2021, along with a few other items. The sweatshirt arrived in Dec too late to wear for Thanksgiving...and 2-words on the sweatshirt were misspelled...Turkey was spelled Tunkey and Thanksgiving was also misspelled. The material and quality of the garments they sent was cheaply made. The items came without an invoice and no return address. I was able to reach Cotosen's customer-service online. I told Cotosen I was not happy with the items they sent me; I asked for instruction to return my order for a full refund. I received an email from Cotosen stating I did not need to return the items. A full refund will appear on my PayPal account within 72-hrs... Here it is 02-09-2023, and I am still receiving billing statements from PayPal/Synchrony. I called, email and written PayPal/Synchrony numerous times over the past 2-years. I have forwarded photos of the items sent and the email from the merchant stating they were crediting my account. PayPal states they reviewed my dispute and ruled in the merchants favor...Huh? I have a document from the merchant stating they credited my account...Why am I receiving statements indicating late charges and interest for this transaction? The person on the phone asked me if I had called my financial institution regarding this credit? Huh... Isn't PayPal/Synchrony the financial institution? The billing statements has PayPal/Synchrony as the financial institution? At the beginning of each call it states this call is being recorded, however, when I asked the person on the phone to review my previous correspondences regarding this matter she said the issue was resolved in favor of the merchants. Oh my God...can you not comprehend that I received bogus merchandise from an online company from China and I have documentation from the merchant that they would credit my account? PayPal/Synchrony said they would open up another dispute...I will never, ever us PayPal again.
