Paid for an item they claimed was in atock. 2 weeks later finally got a tracking number. 3 weeks after that the tracking still showed only shipping info received by USPS. Several attempts to contact them went unanswered. I did use paypal so made a claim with them hopefully I will get a refund. I found quite a few reviews online relating similar experiences wish I had seen them first.

Ordered 2 items, werent in stock but they told me theyd be in in a week, and they were. Shipped them across the pond to me promptly. Genuine brand name as advertised.

Order with confidence, if there is a problem, Light in the Box will make it right. They have a great selection and low prices too.

It was cheap but worked albeit terribly for a month. Calls unintelligible, website browser never optimized. Terrible battery life, display like a 70s LCD watch. Then I dropped it on pavement and the screen shattered in a hundred pieces. I laughed out with joy as it gave me the excuse to buy a better phone.

I have bought a few dozen items and have some issues with their practices.
One: using free shipping with minimum purchase amount, they always sit on the order from 5 to 7 business days. These are in stock items and status reads preparing for shipment. I have seen credible reports detailing how efficient they and how they slave drive their order pickers. Sellers on ebay virtually always ship out next day. So why a week stalling my orders, EVERY time? I can only conclude its to force customers using free shipping to join amazon prime.
So I did.
Or at least wanted to.
I check the box for free 30 day membership and placed an order using my debit card.
A couple of hours later I get an email and it says my order cant be shipped because my debit card turned down the $100 prime membership fee. Huh?
The terms and conditions of prime free trial clearly state that amazon charges you the $100 at the END of the 30 day trial. And thats if you want the year of prime. Guess they lied. I ordered the same item from ebay. No problems.
I guess they figure most people will take prime anyway after the trial and not notice they were billed a month earlier or figure fighting them for a refund if they dont is futile.
Dishonest company.

Placed order on feb. 1st for item allegedly in stock in a US warehouse. Estimated ship date was next day with est arrival of feb 9th.
As of the 11th order status was still "processing". The day after I placed my order the price went up $20 and originating warehouse changed from us to cn. No order confirmation by email. As of the 14th now sent 3 emails through their contact us link with no replies.
Now Chinese new year is in full swing so dont expect a reply for another week if at all. Very unprofessional.
Edit: today 2 weeks after I placed the order I get an email saying my payment was refunded. No explanation why and to this day never received any communication from banggood.
And notice the flashlight I ordered but they cancelled is now still listed in stock but for $20 more as mentioned above. Hmmm...
Raising review from 1 to 3 stars as they merely wasted my time and didnt rip me off.

Most of the crime and safety alerts were by cranks trying to convince others that silly things like cars simply parking for a few minutes then leaving were stalkers or terrorists or some vast conspiracy to "target" them. They were insisting these should be reported to police! They were creating an atmosphere of fear and hate for anyone they didnt recognize. In one thread I tried to talk some sense into them of course they didnt want to hear it and when tbey attacked me the lead stepped in and publicly treated me like a child.
The site basically allows the worst idiots in your neighborhood to band together and spread fear, loathing, racism, hate and waste police man hours.
Which will only benefit nextdoor because they will recruit more members if they convince them everyone and everytbing are threats.
