We have advertised on ThomasNet for many years and have always treated it as a sort of billboard for advertising. We have found that other marketing avenues can generate more leads for the money spent, but we have been more interested in the exposure for our business on the ThomasNet directory. A Thomas rep explained a new banner ad program that was available which sounded perfect for the exposure aspect we were trying to capture. It was a larger expense for us and we decided to move forward based on the description given and examples of where it would display on the site. As it turned out, the banner was placed on much deeper pages with poor results over the course of a few months. This was a case where the sales rep did not understand what he was selling and gave us incorrect information about this "new program."
Hi Justin, thanks for providing your feedback. We're sorry to hear that you believe our program was misrepresented. While banner ads do offer branding exposure to differentiate you from your competitors on the ThomasNet.com supplier discovery platform, many other aspects of your total ThomasNet program are inherently more measurable (than branding) in relation to their direct impact on generating qualified leads and sales. Powerful and unambiguous measurement tools are included in every ThomasNet program. In most instances, once a rep sits down and reviews a program's actual performance with advertisers that share similar concerns to yours, the true ROI of their ThomasNet program becomes clear. We would like to look into your concerns -- whom should we contact to get more information about your experience with us?
