  • The Ketogenic Switch

I have been following the Ketogenic Switch programme since January 2017, and as of August 2017 have lost 23 kg in weight - without exercise.
This programme is based around eating a wholefood, ketogenic diet - excluding foods like grains, potato, breads, processed foods etc and mainly gaining energy from healthy fats like coconut oil, flaxseed oil, high quality whole milk/cream, coconut milk, nuts and seeds etc. The plan does include some fruits, along with lots of leafy green vegetables and other vegetables etc.
Along with the eating plan, Deborah Murtagh, the founder, also provides a strong focus on the Mind Switch aspect - which means working on your reasons for wanting to lose weight and addressing other issues in life that might be holding you back, and keeping that weight on.
I think this is a particularly good fit for people who are interested in keto but prefer to eat wholefoods rather than loads of bacon and processed meats etc which are widely used in many other keto diets.
There is a large and very active private Facebook group providing a lot of information and support, especially for new members, and it really makes a difference. My before and during photos were taken in December 2016 and August 2017.
