We attempted to apply for a PennyMac Home Loan refinance. We went through all the hoops providing more financial information that was necessary when we first secured our VA loan. This company representative claimed that the loan process was in the final stages of completion. Approximately two and a half weeks later my wife called inquiring as to our loan status to find out it was disapproved. They called us to ensure that we made a mortgage payment prior to the due date, which they've never done in the past. That was the last contact we had from them, which was about two weeks prior to my wife's phone call. No one ever contacted us as all the primary representatives were on holiday vacation. I would seriously disregard any attempt to do business with this company. In my opinion, they are less than professional and, as most mortgage lenders are, out to make the most money possible. I would recommend to all veterans and potential military home buyers to search elsewhere and do your groundwork to identify the reputation of any mortgage company and especially what they're charging you for their services.

Tip for consumers:
Do business elsewhere.

On 22 December 2022 I searched MyLife website for free information and was inadvertently charged an annual subscription to this service. The email identifying your charges automatically goes into your spam folder so you have to search for it. If you don't have charge alerts on your account, it can easily take your money for an extremely overpriced service. Who in their right mind would pay $12.95 a month for this "People Search and Background Check Report" membership? There are many other online services that provide a more reasonable service for the precise data you are searching for. When you attempt to contact this company, it identifies that this "so called" premium service can be cancelled at any time by calling a phone number, which directs you to send an email to *******@mylife.com. This is definitely a company that is receiving recurring complaints about unauthorized charges. Do not attempt to access or create an account with this company.

Tip for consumers:
MyLife.com website will extract your saved account data and inadvertently charge you for an expensive annual membership.

Verified purchase

This ID.me is an excellent mechanism to verify military service universally throughout the various.gov websites. It definitely makes a veteran and active servicemember access to their records and requests for documents efficient and simple.
