The Monte Coxala Hotel in San Juan Cosala near Ajijic and Lake Chapala in Jalisco, Mexico, is lacking on almost every front. Several of the thermal pools are dirty and moldy, the spa services are mediocre, the swimming pool is far too cold to swim in, the hotel itself is not well maintained, and there are several separate businesses operating within the hotel that make the entire experience far from seamless. You'll get two menus in the restaurant for example—one for drinks and another that contains drinks and food. If you order off both menus, you'll need to wait for and pay two separate checks. What's worse, the Monte Coxala Hotel deducted (stole) an additional $MEX2900 from our credit card for services never rendered and refused to reimburse the funds. Watch your bill if you are unfortunate enough to end up here.

El Hotel Monte Coxala en San Juan Cosalá, cerca de Ajijic y el lago de Chapala en Jalisco, México, carece de casi todos los aspectos. I was stranded late at night on the street in Mexico because SuperTravel neglected to send the booking (for which I had a confirmation in hand) to the hotel. The hotel was full as were almost all others in the area. I was not refunded for the initial charge OR the added expenses I incurred scrambling to find other accommodations late at night (at an exceptionally high price). Super's customer service is the worst ever. Do not expect any help. I recommend NEVER using SuperTravel if you hope to enjoy any part of your holiday.

Tip for consumers:
I wish I had read these reviews and that Kayak would post it's third-party vendors for rating.
