About Me

Middle aged mom of three adult children and two cats. I’ve been trying out and reviewing products for a few years now. I have always enjoyed writing, so challenging myself to write honest, thoughtful, and fair reviews is something I enjoy.

How I Can Help

I have a few years of experience in writing reviews. I believe I’ve learned to find the good in every product, so that I can be objective even if it’s a product that I personally don’t care for. But honestly is so important, of course. And pictures, I always add as many pics as I’m allowed, and I think I’ve learned to choose the most relevant, helpful pics to my reviews.

Interests

Being outdoors, fishing, hiking. Landscaping my yard. Painting rocks. Collecting rocks.

I've been buying and selling on EBay for 20+ years. When I first started selling, digital cameras weren't widely popular yet, so we sold without pics. We had to describe every item in minute detail. So that gives you an idea of how long I've been using EBay.

The past few years, I mostly start selling in the fall, to make extra money for Christmas. I have to say that using the phone app makes listing products so much easier! I used to have to help others get started with selling because it was more complicated. Now, with the app, it's all self-explanatory. Anyone can do it! And the fact that you can add up to 12 pictures means you don't have to spend as much time describing things in minute detail.

Now, there will always be people who will complain.
People don't like the fees. Well, then don't use EBay. I mean, of course you're going to pay fees. It's a company that is looking to make money, but it's a reputable company that can also help you make money.

Now, as a buyer, I have to say that they've improved on their customer service over the years. If I get a product that's not as described, I contact the seller and if they don't resolve my issue, EBay steps in and gives me a refund. Honestly, I use Amazon as well. But EBay is my go-to if I'm looking for something that's older, or unique. Or things like used clothing and shoes. Last year I found a pair of expensive hiking boots I loved on the brand website, but they were $140. With some patience and diligence, I found the same exact boots listed as excellent condition for $40. I got them and they were brand new. So EBay saved me $100!

Definitely recommend EBay as both a buyer and seller!

Tip for consumers:
I always change the sort to “lowest price first” right off the bat. Watch for free returns but don’t discount a good looking product that doesn’t have free returns, because it shows up not as described, you can still request a return.
As far as selling, use the app and it’ll take you right through the process. And get great pics of your item, as many as you can, from all angles. People rely heavily on pics and the more, the better!

Products used:
Boots, old issues of magazines, a beanie, DVD sets of old TV series, a CD, many books.

I've been purchasing Posca Paint pens from Marker supply for years now. They have a great selection of not only Posca paint pens, but other types of paint pens and markers. Also they carry replacements nibs/tips, which is great since these are hard to find. The prices are actually cheaper than what they charge at my local craft store. And the shipping is reasonable enough that I still save money.

Shipping is always fast, so I know when I'm running low, I can put in an order and have my replacement paint pens on a few days.

Customer service is absolutely awesome. Very reliable. A couple of months ago, I received the wrong size of replacement nibs that I'd ordered. I contacted customer service, hear me back from them quickly, and they sent me out the correct nibs right away. I didn't even have to return the incorrect ones. The rep was friendly and helpful as well.

I also want to mention the rewards program. You earn a point for each dollar spent, and accrue them to earn monetary value which you can use to pay for your order. Another bonus.

Tip for consumers:
Make sure to create an account and sign up for the Rewards program right away. And if you have any problems, just contact customer service because they’re great to work with. (I only had a problem once in about 2 years, and it was a good experience.). Shipping doesn’t change a lot with adding more pens or markers, so get as many as you need on one shipping, to save money.

It seems funny to review a big company like Walmart. Com, but I've recently placed a lot of orders through them, and have had a good experiences, so wanted to share my thoughts.

I actually recently took advantage of the free trial of their "+" program, which includes free shipping with no minimums. So I decided to order quite a few things! I ordered a TV and big bag of cat food, because both were heavy items and why not have them delivered to my porch rather than carry them home from the store, myself?

I also ordered a couple of items that aren't available in store. They were things I'd looked for in my local store, but couldn't find. So I was really happy to find the items online! They were smaller items that didn't meet the regular Free Shipping minimum.

I enjoyed the free shipping with the "+" program, but even if I had to pay shipping, my local Walmart is in the next town, so I'm looking at a couple of gallons of gas just to run there. So for smaller items where shipping is fairly cheap, it's a consideration.

Every item I ordered came quickly, well packaged, and every order was accurate. Most of them came via FedEx. So much easier getting a big TV brought right to your own porch, rather than struggling with getting it home from the store yourself.

I'm happy with Walmart.com and will be placing more orders in the future, even when my "+" trial ends.

Tip for consumers:
I actually did a lot of looking at product reviews before purchasing the TV. And I looked for reconditioned TV’s of the more expensive models that had great reviews. I was able to find a reconditioned model of the TV I wanted, and saved some money. It had QC checklists included and was absolutely a brand new TV with no wear. It works perfectly and no problems after using it for about 2 weeks. If it hadn’t worked out, I could’ve return it to my local store, so worth taking the chance!
