I avoided the minnesota winter by heading south. I spent 2 months in texas, then a month in arizona, and then a month in colorado. When i returned home i found bills from the texas tollway. My $10 in tolls had ballooned into a $90 bill. When trying to get around the dallas metro, it is hard to know if and when you are even on a tollway. I called to explain that i had been away, was not trying to be delinquent on my financial responsibility, and did not see the bills. I was willing to pay the money i owed for the tolls right then over the phone. She said that it had gone to collection and there was nothing she could do. After some discussion the lady put me on hold. When she returned, she made the magnanimous offer of removing $35 of the $90 from the bill. Not bad for not being able to do anything, but not satisfactory. If they could remove $35 then they could have removed all the fees. I told her i will not be paying and they could continue to waste time and money by sending more bills with more fees. Seems that everything about texas is unreasonable so don't drive there. Power grid failure, busing immigrants to other cities, lack of diversity, curtailing voting rights. Tollway is just another thing wrong with the lame star state.

Just joined the bedford ymca. Fabulous facility. Fabulous people. It has a big pool with lap lanes, a flowing circular stream, kids area, and the all important hot tub. Great locker rooms with dial lockers so you don't need a lock. All the exercise equipment you could want. A gym with basketball and pickleball. All kinds of fitness cleasses. And a daycare center. Tiptop it is.

It is all about the money. Football is just a business not a sport. Greedy owners and greedy players are paid by corporations that can't pay their workers a decent wage and stupid fans foolish enough to pay ridiculous prices for tickets, parking, concessions and all the other junk one can buy.

They are losing their fan base. History does not seem to register with them. The NFL tried to air a playoff game that wasn't on free over-the-air broadcast television once. It was the lowest rated playoff game in six years. But the cementheads at nfl central think that enough people will stream peacock so the dolphins chiefs game was not televised on broadcast tv.

I have not spent a dime on the nfl this century. I would suggest to the rest of you to do the same from now on.

Heybike cityscape

This is not a good bike. First mistake was ordering online. Assembly was difficult and the front wheel would not fit through the brake caliper. Had to take it to a bike shop to get it done. $$.

The bike had a chain guard... probably to help keep the chain from falling off, which happened more often than normal. It was incredibly difficult to put the chain back on. Finally the chain guard was removed.

The batteries were big and heavy. The range was less than expected and after a short time, less than 6 months, one of the batteries was significantly less effective at than the other.

It took two people to remove the battery from the bike. One to hold the rear of the bike down while the other yanked at trying to pull the battery out. It was not a lubrication problem but the business end of the battery was designed to fit so tightly that it was nearly impossible to get it out.

Less than a year of riding with problems required another trip to the bike shop $$$. Adjustments were made and we were infrormed that the derailer was not the right one for this bike. Really?

Bike season is ending and we will try and sell this bike and get one that is reliable and fun to ride. Some unsolicited advice would be that no matter what bike you get, buy it from a bike shop so they will take the responsibility for providing a good product and take care of the customers that buy it.

Walgreens sucks. I went to the trouble to order 4 vitamin items on line. At checkout there was a 'problem'. The problem was with walgreens. So i called the number to talk with someone. She offered to help me place the order. I had to read to her each item ordered. After 10 minutes she transferred me to the bill pay link. I entered my info and the bot said i would be connected back to the team member. After waiting 2 minutes, the call disconnected. I had no idea if the order went thru or not. The last time i ordered online there was also a problem and i had to straighten it out in the store. This chain of stores is not worth my time or yours.since this mishap was online i have no receipt.

To be fair, most of their standard items are ok. But i got a bad watermelon on one trip. Then i bought some cinnamon donuts. They were old and hard. Threw them out. Contacted the store and the response was.
- The Date and Time on your receipt
- The address of the store you visited
- Your Shopper's Card Number or alternate id used to make purchase.
- The UPC (bar code) number on the product packaging
- The Date code and any additional information in its vicinity
This is exactly why they don't get the real number of complaints about the products and service. People do not want to go to all the trouble of getting some kind of 'resolution'. And they know it. Sorry i tossed my proof of purchase
