  • The RealReal

11/16/22

I have used Real Real for over 5 years for selling luxury goods. As of this last year my experience has been TERRIBLE. Do not send anything that does not qualify for Price Review which is over $995.00 and meets brand criteria. You will be sorry.

I can share more proof but don't want my personal information on a review website.

1. Listing a Moncler Twist Collection jacket (runway collection) $1700.00 new retail, that was listed as new retail $685.00 and sale price $585.00 and net to me $384.00 with no chance to review the listing.

There are more but currently I am trying to consign several items (2 Rolexes, 1 IWC watch, one Diamond Versace Watch and one Tiffany Diamond Bezel Atlas watch) They have all been difficult, but the Tiffany is a nightmare. I was able to get it on Price Review but after receiving the Pending Price Review email (has no way to respond to, you can mark "I agree" or go to hell) I spend hours calling, texting and working with Real Real to get a decent listing price. They had two identical watches listed for in the $3,000.00 range. They wanted to list my newer watch in better condition for $2100.00. I agreed on the phone to $2600.00. It never showed on my account. I followed up via text and again they agreed to list for $2600.00. It went live for $2100.00 I just spend another 50 minutes on with a VERY nice representative, but her hands were tied to actually correct the problem. She contacted a supervisor, who sent her to a supervisor who never got back to the rep I was talking to. I am still waiting on this to resolve.

I don't plan on working with them anymore. Fashionphile (through Neiman Marcus) has a program where you submit your item via your account, and they tell you what they are willing to list it for. If you agree you drop it off at their location via Neiman Marcus store location.

I received the following email from Yelp.

Hello,

We're reaching out to let you know that our moderators removed reviews you posted to more than one business page, including Costco.

We typically remove reviews that appear to depict the same experience and are posted to multiple business pages. If you have firsthand experience as a customer of a business, you may share your experience on the page that best corresponds to the location where your experience took place.

If you've interacted with multiple locations, you can post a different review on each business page that speaks to your interaction with that specific location. However, please be aware that if you repost the same content to multiple business pages, this content will be removed without further notice.

Flagged Content:
DO NOT USE Costco Travel. We booked the trip about 60 days ago with a deposit. The trip is for the end of May. Today on March 20th we received an email stating the entire trip will be charged to our account on March 22nd. We can call and cancel but the hold time is 1 hour and I am doing that while I listen to horrible elevator music. There is no way to cancel online like all other travel programs.

It is unacceptable and a scam.

I have emails and receipts for my interaction with Costco travel on the date my review was published. Yelp does not have a customer service email and this email came from a "no reply" address.

I know many small business people that can not get Yelp to remove false negative reviews after literally begging Yelp and providing documentation.

This is sad. I was deeply disappointed because I used to trust Yelp reviews. I do not like the way Costco handled my booking and how deeply difficult it was to get my money back. That is what the removed review was about.

Costco Travel is a total scam. When you contact Costco they are not affiliated with Costco Travel and they can not help you.

Issues are:

* If you try to call, the hold time is over an hour.
* They do not have an option for a call back.
* Emails to their customer care email bounce back with a message that the email will not be read.
* They charge 100% of the trip 60 days prior to departure.
*There is no online method to cancel.
* The Costco Travel website in the fine print states that you can call directly to Enterprise, etc. and they can cancel for you. Not true. Enterprise stated that the Costco Travel contract does not allow them to cancel a reservation.

We are trying to leave for a week's trip not booked through Costco Travel. Then I get an email that Costco Travel is going to charge $3,000. To my credit card for a May trip (it is now March) on Monday which I was surprised by. Thankfully I booked the May trip airfare directly with American Airlines, which took 2 seconds to cancel.

After using chat with Costco.com who is not claiming any control or communication with Costco Travel, holding forever, contacting Enterprise directly, reading all the fine print on Costco Travel, entering my Enterprise number directly into the Enterprise website which doesn't work. Trying to delete my credit card on file with CostcoTravel.com, etc. I am beyond frustrated.

Tip for consumers:
I am well traveled and book trips all this time. This experience is unacceptable.

  • SSENSE

11/4/19

I am currently in the process of waiting for management to call me back. I have a bill from the Post Master for $313.00 for a garment that was sent to me from ssense. The customer service person said if an item is over $800.00 the client receiving it MUST pay the customs bill. ( I sent the item back prior to receiving the bill). She said it may not have been explained at checkout and for that she did apologize.

I am livid.

  • Eventbrite

12/20/17

I was purchasing tickets for New Years Eve at Prohibition in Vancouver BC and
Ended up purchasing tickets Prohibition Era New Years Eve party in Washington DC.

The information provided was sloppy and easily confused. I could only see the location when I printed the actual tickets. I contacted the organizer and Eventbrite via email immediately (within 5 minutes) with no response from either.

The only CLEAR issue is the NO REFUNDS in all caps.

Very disappointed. I am out over $200.00

I am familiar with the Freya brand and ordered a Freya swimsuit from this company. It was wonderful but the robe in a different brand did not fit well. They included a return packing label and the return was effortless. I will order again from this company.

  • WigSis

8/16/17

The wig I received is not even close to the one I ordered, it is not even a hairstyle. It is just a mess of plastic hair. The 'bangs' come to my chin. The chin length wig is below my shoulders in strange layers. Total waste of money. HUGE disappointment. Do not purchase from this company.
