I received a coupon from Pennington's in the mail recently. It offered $40 off when you spend $80 or more. Redeemable online and in-store! Valid from May 3 - May 30,2021. The fine print on the back offers $40 off on a single purchase of $80 or more before taxes and shipping in any Reitmans store or at reitmans.com. Excluding R Essentials and items with prices ending in $0.99 and/or $0.97. Valid for one time use, not combinable with other coupons.
Yesterday I attempted to purchase 3 nightgowns with prices ending in $0.95. The total purchase was over $100 before taxes and shipping. I attempted to enter the coupon code and I got an error message. I telephoned Pennington's Customer Service and the representative got the same result when he tried the same order and coupon code. He contacted his Marketing Department for another coupon code. Their answer was that the coupon did not apply to this brand of clothing (inVoglio). This was not stipulated on the coupon. False advertising.
