I opened an account at this local bank (First Convenience Bank) because it has convenient locations in the HEB and Walmart where I shop. My main bank is a national bank but only has an outlet 7 miles across town. I asked a rep when I opened acct if I could transfer money to my other bank, then I wouldn't have to go across town, he said, no problem. I do this for free between other large banks. I was able to put in the other bank's information but could not transfer money to it; I finally reached a customer representative who told me I couldn't do the transfer online, I would have to go to the bank, do a wire transfer, and the fee is $25.00! Wow! I did pay one bill but have read reviews that people have trouble, delays, etc. doing that, won't be doing that anymore; so I need to recommend to people use a larger bank, a Credit Union or other bank instead of this one, it is basically useless, charges fees for everything (including closing the account!) You can put cash in and get a debit card to pay for things, but with no other advantages, why not just use cash. Convenience Bank is not convenient!
