I ordered a dress online and sent it to a tax free zip code. As I was mistakenly charged tax I emailed and asked them to refund the tax. They asked me to FAX the tax exempt form so they could do this. After explaining I do not own a fax machine anymore as this is 2020 not 1990, they kept emailing back the same instructions: there is no email for that department and I need to fax the form! No wonder these US department stores are dying off, they refuse to modernise, listen to their customers or do the right thing. They could have easily looked up the web link I emailed confirming the tax free status but no, they would prefer to keep repeating the same antiquated instructions and lose another customer!
