About Me

I want to share my experiences both good or bad, to help others who may be leery of placing an order. My personal opinion does not reflect anyone else.

How I Can Help

Please contact me if u would like to know any more details regarding any of my reviews. I am more than willing to answer any questions, go into further detail, as well as send pictures. I've worked in customer service for many years, and have extensive knowledge and experience on good customer service in retail.

Interests

Organization freak! I also enjoy Sewing, cleaning and of course Shopping...online browsing.

LTE data service is sooo slow and sometimes I can't even connect to the internet! Extremely frustrating on a daily basis.
You get what you pay for!

Disappointed with Jysk.ca online ordering/pick up in-store, I reserved a bathroom shelf organizer that was in stock at the nearest location to me. The confirmation email informed me that due to inventory issues my order had been cancelled. The email provided me with no detail as to if/when the stock would be available (did I mention this location said "in stock") or other options (eg another location) to purchase my item.
I've shopped at Jysk for years and was excited to try out the online ordering/in-store pick up.

Since Presidents Choice Financial changed to Simplii Financial, i was sent an email explaining that new bank cards would be mailed out, replacing the PC Financial Card with the new Simplii Card. Ive been waiting since November (2017). I then received an email last week (March 2018) saying that I should have my new bank card and urged me to activate it asap as my old card will soon be obsolete.
Ive tried contacting customer service and was on hold for 14 minutes before the auto-recording finally says there was still ten calls ahead of me! I then sent an email explaining this and have yet to get a response. Most companies are more prompt, especially a banking website/company.
Thats my current experience, hopefully others have a better one.

I can find just about anything on Amazon at great prices.
A well reputable and trustworthy website.

  • Ebay CA

EBay is great, I've never had any issues. EBay remains consistent in selling and purchasing and excellent customer service.

  • Oral-B

4/9/17

I purchased a new Oral B power toothbrush in December 2016 and registered my new toothbrush on the Oral B website to receive additional coupons towards future purchases of oral b brush heads (which I was looking forward to, as those brush heads are pricey!)
I contacted Oral B via email and never received a response or any coupons and it's been four months.
Love Oral B products, but dislike the poor customer service.

  • LightInTheBox

A website with everything from electronics to lingerie. Good customer service.
The time it takes to process an order is lengthy, it took 9 days for my payment to get received, and the actual delivery time is much longer than the specified options. I selected postal expedited (5-8days), but it's actually going to take up to 12 days.
But now knowing that international orders take longer, I will most likely order again

  • Wayfair CA

Great shopping for all things for the home with endless items to browse through. A little on the pricey side but if u haven't found what u r looking for on other sites, u can definitely find what u are looking for on wayfair.ca
Shipping costs are reasonable as well!

  • OrganizeIt

Great website with a wide range of home organization products!
Organizeit.com delivers to Canada! The purchase order process was fast and easy. And my order was delivered in 4 days!
This was definitely the first of many purchases at Organizeit.com

Marshals is amazing! Sister company to Canadian store Winners and the U. S discount department store TJ Maxx. It's a step up with more designer labels and a more organized store.
I'm addicted!

Visited a downtown Toronto location and was amazed at the attentiveness and enthusiasm of the sales associates. Not to mention their knowledge of their products and professional expertise for bra fitting.

  • Sally Beauty

I discovered Sally Beauty about 5 years ago, salon professional products available to the public without license requirements (in Canada u r required to provide a valid hair stylist license to purchase salon products). The website is very easy to navigate. I just wish there was more locations in Vancouver!

  • ShoesPie

I periodically check the reviews about Shoespie and i find it rather suspicious that all those "positive" reviews outnumber the negative reviews. Clearly there is truth to all the horrible experiences, then there are the opinions from the positive experiences that explain the excellent quality!?!? As well as the broken English.
It's impossible for a company to receive ONLY 5-4.4 star ratings OR 1 star ratings, and nothing else? I know from personal experience that the negative reviews are definitely true.
So somebody isn't telling the truth! And it isn't the 1 star reviews that are not being honest!
Geez I sure wish I could've experienced the same outstanding customer service and high quality shoes that all the 5 star reviews (didn't) received...
SHOESPIE REVIEW

Shoespie produces and sells poor quality items. They respond immediately to negative reviews with an automated reply expressing concern and a sense of urgency to resolve any problems. Shoespie DO NOT abide by their return/exchange policy or their "free shipping" offers. I purchased 4 pairs of shoes on their website and I was not satisfied with 1 of the 4. The material was not as described, the fit was too big and looked ridiculous and the heels was noticeably bent. I initially only anticipated an exchange for something else. (confident the process would be carried out without hesitation considering I just purchased 4 pairs shoes!)
After contacting them to politely explain my concerns and request details for returning the unwanted item. I was then informed by their customer service team member, "their patience, labor, cost and time it took to make the CUSTOM MADE shoes they will be difficult to resell" and suggested I keep the shoes and attempt to re-sell them myself or they were willing to refund me 15-20% of the sale price, but I was required to pay for the return shipping costs to send the shoes back. For the record:
1. I never ordered "custom made" shoes
2. The shoes are displayed on their website as
"one of the sexy and best selling shoes in our site." (And yes that is the English grammar they use).
Doesn't that contradict their prediction that they will be unable to resell the shoes? OF COURSE THEY WONT RESELL, THEY'RE DEFECTIVE!) But expect me to resell their pair of unwearable shoes!?!?
They repeatedly negotiated with me and requested pictures "proving the problem"with the item(s), and deny any acknowledgment for their faulty product.
The pictures of all the products displayed throughout their website are not actually their products. They replicate these pictures and describe the the items as authentic and the materials for example as "leather" and/or "suede", but they are actually imitation materials, by law, that is considered false advertising in Canada as well as in China.
In PayPal's customer protection policy, "any item custom made is not eligible for protection".
My recommendation to anyone still willing to purchase from Shoespie, 1. MAKE ALL PURCHASES THROUGH PAYPAL, that way you are protected so if there is a problem with your purchase, you will be reimbursed under such circumstances.
2. READ PAYPALS PURCHASE PROTECTION POLICY BEFORE MAKING ANY PURCHASE. Shoespie knows this policy very well and will use the correct wording in emails to try and protect themselves from any discrepancy, in hopes that unaware customers have no knowledge of the fine print.
Any negative reviews that are written on the website are never posted publicly. I wrote three positive reviews on all my shoes, which I was able to view immediately following the posts; and the one negative review is nowhere to be seen. But instead of that post being visible for all to see, Shoespie responded with their automated message concerned and asking me to contact them to fix the problem.
And on sitejabber they recommended i remove this negative review in order to proceed with any refund. Basically threatening with, NO negative review removed? NO (fake)refund.

A word to SHOESPIE.com; until a full refund is issued, after which I will be more than willing to remove this negative review. Until an agreement is reached, this will remain posted as a warning to unaware shoes-shopper victims.
Best regards

UPDATE:
PayPal took over and investigated the discrepancy, without any questions, I was eventually refunded the amount back from the one pair of shoes!
I check the tracking periodically from when I sent the shoes back, and the shoes made it back to China, but remains at the postal facility. (three months later)
*I had no intention of removing this negative review/experience after successfully settling the dispute through PayPal.

Received items as gifts. One item did not arrive as it was on back order. The item that did arrive was flawed and stitching coming apart. It took a couple of emails and then a phone call to find out how to get an RMA form to return the item. They said they would send it right away via email. Two weeks went by, and called them again. This person informed us that the RMA form doesn't even exist.
Currently still in the process of completing the exchange that we requested. As another item is back ordered.
The return/exchange process with this company is good, it's just lengthy and there is no communication from their end, keeping their customers informed on the status of the orders etc.

  • Heels.com

6/1/16

I was choosing shoes to order on heels.com, following an ongoing dispute with Shoespie.com
The many negative reviews are very similar to the experiences described for Shoespie!
I sure hope these two websites are not affiliated in any way.

Do not purchase anything from this company. They make promises to make you sign up/renew plans...
