Three stars is being generous, as I did not get a single match out of Gayquation. I set forth three straightforward criteria - a comparable income, taller, and a spiritual side - and after a year of searching (that's right, a year!) the business came up empty-handed. I give them one star for trying, one star for sincerity, and one star for trying to organize mixers and such. But I am not a happy client, and as prior reviewers have stated, if this is their business model, it is doomed to fail.

Tip for consumers:
Think twice before you engage with them. If they are unable to match your criteria, they should tell you upfront rather than getting you to wait a year without matches.

Hi Sam, we apologize for the delay in providing matches. But please note your introductions are guaranteed and you will remain active with no additional expense. Please note that much of course depends on one's demographics (i.e. With those over 50 y/o your matchmaking team will spend upwards of 3x additional effort compared to the average client); one's location (i.e. Those who live in rural parts of the country); and/or one's criteria (the number, degree and type of deal breakers). One’s market size is affected by these factors. Your team will control every variable it can on their end and customize their approach month over month. But please know it’s never from lack of effort as often our teams spend upwards of 50-60 hours per month head hunting outside our network - even after one were to pause or stop their membership. Your dedicated market report (Optima) will provide your current balance of introductions, along with any challenges and recommendations to help get back on track and optimize chances. We never want to force an intro, but rather we prefer they roll over, make sure your criteria is met, without any surprises as there is no blind dating, and have honest discussions regarding the challenges being faced. Our rejection levels tend be quite high - as much of the community, unfortunately, is not seeking a relationship or connection, nor do we go outside of our client’s criteria without their consent. These individuals are rejected right away, upwards of 80% of the market. The remaining that are prequalified go through a due diligent background check as to make sure they are a good fit and not interested in connecting for the wrong reasons. Unfortunately, there also one too many of these individuals that our matchmakers screen out on your behalf. Much effort goes into searching, screening, communicating and qualifying potential matches, while keeping an eye out on any new entries in our own network. But absolutely, what matters most to you and to us are green lit introductions. Rest assured, I will have your lead matchmaker reach out right away – to go over a plan moving forward in order to help expedite introductions – along with goal projections. You may also reach out to our Member Support Team at any time. Thank you for your continued patience and being a valued client.

Despite a preference for local matches, all my matches were from developing countries looking to get out. They lured me into the paid version of the app by saying I had lots of likes. Yeah, but likes from places I would like to have nothing to do with. I then restricted my preferences to local matches and still got matched with undesirables. How hard can it be to be matched with someone similar to me who lives locally? They promise quality matches. The only matches I see are those with minimal credentials. And they should really restore the income thresholds. Makes it easier to screen for potentials.

Tip for consumers:
Lopsided app. Too much riff raff. Needs a full makeover. Empty promises of love. Avoid!
