I've waited before leaving a review as I had to get my credit card company involved to get my money back.
I hired a van in order to bring my nephew and all his belongings back from Holland, where he'd been studying.
On the morning of the hire (delivery promised for 8am), a succession of "we can't get access to the vehicle from the last hirer" kept putting off delivery until it was promised for 2pm. Definitely. That was cutting it fine for my Eurotunnel crossing but at 2pm there was still no van. I rang, only to find that the office closes at 1pm. It cost me money to change my Eurotunnel booking and cost my nephew most of his worldly possessions, which wouldn't fit in my car.
To make matters worse, a succession of NVR drivers rang saying they were just on their way from the other side of London (nine hours late). I told them not to bother as I was already at Folkestone by then. I then got a load of calls, two days before the rental period should have ended to collect the van I'd refused to accept.
In an email the next week, NVR promised a refund within 7 days but it never appeared. I eventually got my van hire charges back after raising a claim through my credit card company.
There are similarly named companies out there. For clarity, this is company number *******, based in Cardiff. The sole director is Funmilola Thomas.
