My flight for sector Shillong- Dimapur for 14-10-2023 was cancelled by the airline Air Asia stating operational issue. However, while processing for the fare refund, I was compelled to pay Rs.300 per passenger as cancellation fee stating that it's the company policy. How can such charges be made when there is no fault at my end? I have missed my appointments. Rather than compensating for the flight cancellation, i am forced to pay cancellation fee. Where is my right as a traveller? The company charges on refund sounds no justification. Waste of money.

We regret the inconvenience that caused you. However, we have tried to contact you on the registered contact number, but unable to connect with you. Moreover, we would also like to inform you that cancellation service fees has been applied to the booking which is a non refundable amount.
However, as a onetime courtesy and a good will gesture the same has been waived off.
