Had an existing loan and got a pre-approval for refinancing. Was approved but then later was declined because according to the adverse action letter they couldn't verify my identity. Well, no one tried. Not one call was made. Now, keep in mind I already had a loan with this lender. Talked to a representative in chat, who provided the BS scripted response that they look at all things such as income, ability to pay, credit score, and current amount of debt and couldn't approve me at this time. I reiterated the sole reason listed on the adverse action letter and attempted to verify my identity with her. I typed out my mother's maiden name, DOB, and SS number. She stated again they could not approve me at this time. I stated this was bait & switch, which is illegal. Went to Discover, got another loan approved at a better rate, and paid the one I had with SoFi off. So, FU SoFi.

I worked in the call center in Oklahoma City.

This is a place that requires a disciplined individual to successfully work here, and most people in the age group they usually hire, people in their 20s, don't have that.

The first thing our training group noticed and openly commented on was when reviewing the handbook that the company seemed to be out to get their employees. Admittedly, being only 24 years old I didn't have the level of maturity they were demanding in the job, but it wasn't going to work anyways because of the petty nitpicking.

Because of this, they went on hiring binges at the first of every year. People would quit during the year, and they wouldn't replace them until they started hiring again the next year leaving themselves with a skeletal crew by year-end.

I had people in the building ratting me out and even people at the rental locations tracking my supervisor done when I advised customer of the wrong information.

After four months, I could see I attracted too much negative attention. I went into the office at the start of my shift and said I was quitting right in front of a group of new hires that just happened to be there.

I now make over $200K per year and have never rented a car from Hertz. They usually don't have the best rates anyway.

I have at least a dozen Google profiles to be able to post reviews. I can post the same review (even good ones) under one profile and it won't get posted and then go to another one of my profiles where it will take. If your reviews are too longer or too detailed, they will get suppressed. If someone flags your review even though nothing is wrong with it, it will get suppressed. It's a game playing with words on this site. Certain words or combination of words that are innocuous will trigger the bots and get your reviews suppressed. There is no way to contact Google to discuss.

I added a page of a low power TV station. It was flagged for potential deletion (ultimately, it was deleted) and discussion because the station 1) wasn't that old, and 2) wasn't relevant for merely being a pass-through for minor subchannel networks. I could cite many other stations that fit that same description, but they weren't flagged for deletion. Besides, it still exists and therefore merits a page.

Then, they want you to donate money to them.

I sent a email and cited this incident as one reason I don't donate money and why I'm hesitant to add information and make Wikipedia better place. I was met with gaslighting saying I need be constructive in my response. Why should I do that when they already made up their minds to delete the contribution for reasons that don't make any sense?

Other edits are often undone by other aggressive contributors that have nothing better to do but start an editing war because they think they know everything. Yet, it's always your fault, not theirs.

I had some customer service issues with Hampton Inn Uptown - University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, OH with rude desk clerks and a manager with a sullen tone over the phone that also doesn't return emails and voice messages. They also attempted to take a $154 authorization for incidentals for a three day stay. When describing an incident to the manager about a person I hadn't seen and was trying to identify, I said "she had an African-American accent". The manager started admonishing and chastising me and told me how inappropriate I was. Just hours away from arriving at the property and checking in, she canceled my reservation and told me to stay somewhere else. Called Hilton corporate to complain. They filed a case and did an investigation. Their investigation, without talking to me, concluded with them recommending I not stay at the property and giving me 10,000 points for my inconvenience. When I sent several emails saying the response was unsatisfactory, they ignored me.

UPDATE: The manager of said property keeps escalating the issue by responding to my reviews I left on several online platforms and calling me a racist. She also has been getting the reviews deleted, which I keep rewriting. She also got me banned from Yelp for ultimately leaving a factual review that did not address her disparagingly.

Used to be an honest website but now looks for reasons to delete legitimate reviews and be ornery towards reviewers. I had a reviewer review my review as well as defame me, which clearly goes against Yelp guidelines. After multiple attempted to get Yelp to remove the remove, they not only kept the review but also suppressed mine. Ultimately, I got an attorney involved, who showed them information from their own webpage that the offending review did not comply with their own guidelines. Yet, Yelp sent the same form letter to the attorney saying why the review would remain on the site. I guess Yelp employees have nothing better to do because this morning I received an email saying they removed one of my reviews that had been posted for a number of years because it didn't appear that I had an experience at the business location. Well, yes in fact I did. There was nothing in my review that indicated otherwise.

UPDATE: After a manager of a hotel I interacted with flagged a review I left and I reposted being careful to comply with Yelp guidelines, Yelp banned me after the hotel reflagged it for violating guidelines but would not say what guidelines I violated.

Can't get any help from the corporate office regarding my stay at Microtel in Holland, MI. The staff overcharged my debit card $300 trying to correct a mistake they made, and then the property owner had nerve to take issue with the review I left afterwards. Then, the property owner start harassing me with repeated phone calls and emails barraging me with insults and behaving borderline psychotically.

It's been a week since I stayed at the motel, and I have still not got my money back. Despite that the motel is using their name, customer service has done nothing to help nor hold the property owner accountable because they tell me the property is not owned by them.

So, I've scoured the internet trying to find an email and phone number as a workaround to customer service. Wyndham apparently doesn't want customers to contact them because several leads led to dead ends. I can't even file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as they said the company was unreachable.

Tip for consumers:
I will NEVER stay at another Wyndham property.

I've been attack on this website for the most insignificant reasons by people. Comments are often clear cut cases of hate, harassment, and going against subreddit guidelines. Yet, it you report individual comments most of the time no action is taken and the comment remains. I once had someone report me as suicidal, which is anything close to true. The moderators of the subreddits are often trolls themselves and mentally unstable. I've been banned from some subreddits for merely having a difference of opinion. So much for freedom of speech. The trolls are masters in social engineering as I've been suspended for merely responding in kind to trolling comments. If you appeal to or write Reddit to explain, they ignore you.

Edit: 10/25/23 - Was just permanently banned after a handful of users this week posted trolling comments to my replies long enough to generate an email to me then deleted the comments right away to delete the evidence. I emailed them calling them out on it and referring to them as "wimps" and "P's". One of the trolls flagged my email, and Reddit banned me for harassment.

My husband has over an 800 credit score and a 7% debt ratio. They declined his personal loan because he forgot the email address he used to apply saying they couldn't verify his identity. That's petty! They had us jumping through hoops during the application process providing far more documents than SoFi needed, who offered the same rate and much more easily and quickly approved him.

Husband applied for a personal loan with a credit score over 800 and 7% credit usage. They asked for a copy of his driver's license, a copy of his Social Security card, a copy of a bank statement or utility bill, and bank statements for past three months. I thought this was going way overboard for this credit scenario on a $12K loan. It was three days before we logged in without any notification from them to check my application status, where we found out they declined the loan because they could not confirm his identity. What couldn't they confirm? We supplied all the information they asked for, and they just closed out the application without so much as a phone call or asking any questions. We called, and the representative tried to pass it off as a problem with his credit report. I just pulled the credit reports, where there was nothing unusual. Now, his score dropped eight points because of the hard inquiry. Consequently, this has made it harder to shop for another loan as the quoted rates are now higher. Bogus! Thanks a lot, Discover!

It's just like any other review site. They don't like bad reviews and will find a reason not to post them. They protect the businesses, in this case the realtors, not the customer.

If you put too much detail, which is often necessary to tell the story, they will say it doesn't comply with the guidelines. When you try to pin them down and ask, they are onerous, obstinate, and won't tell you why it doesn't comply with the guidelines or what needs to be taken out. Often, upon reading the guidelines, you find the review does comply.

The rules and guidelines also aren't applied consistently. I even had one review that got posted that I went back and edited to change a timeline. The edited version was rejected.

Tip for consumers:
Don’t trust the reviews. They’re lopsided toward positive experiences.

I had user MsCheap1 criticize my post in one of the public forums, call me a troll, and tell me to "stay in Indiana". I emailed her in private, called her a "B", and set her straight. My post was deleted due to someone's hypersensitivity, likely hers. I reposted a more gently worded version. She posted a comment warning people about me. Flagged her comment as harassment and TripAdvisor did nothing. Instead, they deleted mine and somebody else's subsequent responses addressing her post. Found an email for TripAdvisor and emailed them directly. They ended up shutting my account down.

This was a clear-cut case of trolling, but I got the shaft and the troll got to keep her account. Despite being a level 6 contributor, TripAdvisor shut my account down without saying a word, and they won't answer my emails. I've had other issues where they've arbitrarily taken my review down and dance around giving you an answer why. Usually, it's a dangling "because your review does not meet our guidelines". When you ask why it doesn't meet their guidelines, they say because it doesn't meet their guidelines.

After being asked to profusely apologize several times, I got my account reinstated only to have it disabled again. When I wrote TripAdvisor, they said that I violated the guidelines again. The only thing I did after my account was re-enabled was email a user. When I asked how I violated the guidelines, they would not tell me, told me I was suspended for a month, and to contact them then

Our drivers started delivering packages out in the open at our garage door despite our sheltered porch being steps away. Called the manager at the local facility to report. Then, they started leaving the packages at the edge of the porch where it could be rained on. Called the manager again plus left instructions in my FedEx account to bring it directly up to the door. So, then out of spite they did just that, putting it up against the door where it couldn't be opened.

Watched the FedEx driver at our local dropoff facility arrive an hour late. I had just dropped off my package, which was a little large, before he picked up. Saw him come back out to his truck without my package but a handful of smaller packages. Shortly thereafter, I received an exception notice by email saying my package wasn't picked up because I missed the cutoff time. Fact if the matter is the driver was lazy and didn't want to pick the package. Called FedEx. Got excuses. Wrote FedEx about the incident. Received a non-sequitur response.

At the last place I lived, tried to flag down a driver after he didn't complete a task and took off quickly. He saw me, pointed to his watch, and kept driving. Called FedEx. Once again, not dealt with.

At first, I thought it was a good way to communicate with your neighbors without the nonsense you see on Facebook until 15 months ago when a mentally deranged person in another development (she was even a lead in her subdivision) about two miles away from me started smarting off, name calling, and provoked a fight. The fight was over trash pick-up that didn't occur, and she insulted me esssentially saying I should have known and should have known who to contact. (Apparently, most people didn't know because they had set their trash out.) She called my husband names too, and he had nothing to do with the discussion.

So, my account was locked simply because I responded back in-kind over a fight this person I didn't know started. I was told that I could contact them after two weeks and have it reinstated. I was told that all posts are viewed independently regardless of who was wrong. Considering we lived in a highly redneck area at the time, our neighbors overall weren't friendly towards us, and there were several other (far less extreme) incidents of this sort of thing in the past, I decided reestablishing the account wasn't worth it if people were just going to fight with each other.

Fast forward 15 months later, I have moved over 200 miles away. Someone during a homeowner's meeting asked if we were all on Facebook as a means of communicating with each other and about development business. Few were on Facebook. I proposed the idea of Nextdoor. I contact Nextdoor to get them to unfreeze my account. What I've gotten is them asking me at least three times now if I agree to abide by the Community Guidelines and belaboring what previously happened even though it was over a year ago and I no longer live there. Each time I have said "Yes", but they continue to ask in emails that are at least 24 hours apart. I feel like they are purposely trying to antagonize me.

They have no phone number to call them to discuss.
