Crying children standing in the sun outside the Hertz office at 83rd between Columbus and Amsterdam. A line of over 20 customers in the sweltering heat or packed inside a small space. Dismissive and uncaring attendants inside. That was the scene on Saturday, September 9,2023 at ~ 10am. After waiting online for over an hour, attendants greeted us with an incredible statement: accept electric cars that no one had made a reservation for, or good luck elsewhere. Every person in line had made reservations, and had received confirmations, for a gas vehicle. Many had to be at specific places at specific times. Explanation: gas vehicles had not arrived. Nonesense. Hetz made reservations for specifc times that it could not honor. Enterprise rent a car, right next to Hertz, did it right: it did not have cars available, so it did not confirm reservations. Therefore, there was no one standing in line. Avoid Hertz, you are better dead inside a hearse.

Stay away from PC Richards. Remember Gordon Gekko, the evil guy from the movie "Wall Street" that said "greed is good" and then destroyed people's livelihoods? PC Richards is the Gekko of appliances. They do everything to sell you, at which they are excellent. Then they stick you with people who do measurements to make sure your refrigerator fits and they do the measurements wrong (and you pay them for the measurements). Then they send delivery people who verbally threaten you and do nothing when you report them; then they leave refrigerators outside your apartment (when they have been paid to install them); and then tell you that you have to wait 10 days for service when the refrigerator does not work. STAY AWAY.

STAY AWAY. Do not purchase ANYTHING from Design Within Reach. They will delay delivery for months. They then use a so-called "white glove" delivery service by the name of Ukay. Ukay is not ok, it is terrible. Ukay will refuse to arrange for a four hour delivery date and time in advance and routinely turns down proposed dates and times shortly before the requested delivery date and time, making it impossible to make reasonable arrangements for delivery, as they did twice in my case. And DRW does not care about Ukay's dismal service simply stating that Ukay is white glove service when in fact they are a third rate outfit.
