on 1/18/10Do not order from them. They are a real gamble on quality and you won't be able to get your money back. If you plan to order from somewhere secondhand I would recommend you at least read through the warranty and return policy to make sure its legit
I bought a laptop battery on Ebay a few years ago and had a good experience. Like Chris said, I think it can be okay if you're just really careful to only bid on items from very high reputation sellers that look like they run a business and it's not just one guy in a garage.
I'm not too sure what a good price is, but some mainstream sites like Buy.com look like they have deals on refurbished batteries: http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=211831288&listingid=53272016
That sounds like a good idea. I didn't know Ebay was a good place to buy laptop batteries - something about the fact that it probably wont be in original sealed packaging scares me. And I dont shop on Ebay too much but I will definitely try looking there this time. Thanks so much Chris!
Doesn't look good. Only gets a D+ from the Better Business Bureau, 25 complaints recorded and the company hasn't responded to requests to update their records.
Has it occurred to you to look on Ebay? The US site has more than 13.000 Dell batteries and chargers and it's normally OK to purchase from a seller with 100% good feedback. I've been trading on Ebay for many years without a problem. If you're nervous about using an online dealer -which is wise - then Ebay does at least offer you the chance to see what feedback earlier customers have left. And you should get a good price, too.
Wait a bit and see if anyone else has a recommendation for laptop battery sites, though.
