I am a beginner at candle making. Can you please walk me through the steps for a successful strong smelling candle. I am using 16oz. mason jars, warm my jars; heat wax Golden wax 464 to 185; pour at 135;use eco 14 wicks and 1oz. fragrant oil per lb. They smell great cold but not a good hot throw. I never used your oils yet, but have tried several other candle supply companies. Some smell and some don't. What am I doing wrong? Linda

We normally recommend 3-5% of fragrance oil in soap. However, each fragrance oil has its own IFRA sheet that will tell you the maximum level of usage according to product that you are making. Therefore, one lemon scent may differ from another lemon scent on the maximum usage rates.
