I would recommend this company both to prospective customers, as well as to artists/creators! I can rate it on both levels, since I had joined as a creator and produced a great number of items; but also as a customer because I had ordered several items for friends and family, and they were enthusiastic about the quality. I also had some customers that contacted me directly on social media (where I advertised my stuff) after purchases and praised the quality of the merchandise. As a creator, I can say that this is the best POD company I worked with (and I had a lot of experiences in this regard). For one thing, their commissions are the best of any in the industry, and you do not have to wait to accumulate a minimum of earnings before payments: every sale, once final, the profits are immediately deposited to your account (I use PayPal, which is the easiest and safest). I wish I would have found them before I had some fails with POD sites, which could have saved me a lot of grief. PS: This is a Canadian Company from Montreal. I have family in Canada and had ordered for them twice. The shipping went smooth. I live in the EU, but never ordered for myself. But friends from France ordered Masks and they said they were satisfied with the order and shipping.
We've been ordering leggings, crop tops and art prints from Art of Where since 2016. We've had many, many complaints from customers regarding the quality of their sewing - specifically, the crotch of the leggings rips apart after a few wears. This problem would be solved if they used a gusset, I've sewn leggings before and this is very important in maintaining the quality of leggings. It allows people to move and stretch in their gear, otherwise there is major pressure on the seams and we see what we've seen many times before - a ripped out crotch. They used to have good customer service but lately they ignore our emails and now they are refusing to refund our latest blown-out leggings which we reimbursed our customer for. Unfortunately, we've had to support them as we love that they are made in Canada but we are losing money with refunding poor quality and it's been embarrassing to carry such a weak product. We had our final straw this week having been ignored for over a month by customer service just for them to finally respond that we're now outside their 3 month time limit for refunds. Save yourself from the stress of this company and do not order their leggings!

I use Art of Where because it is affordable and it links to my Etsy shop.
However, there are MANY cons to this company.
I have had many issues with my Art Prints and T-Shirts, so I have had to contact them a lot to resolve the issues.
The first issue was resolved in a somewhat timely manner, however, I have not gotten ANY response on my last few issues (which are a much bigger deal like random white lines on my art prints.).
They respond to my first message, but then completely ignore me after asking me to send photos of my issues or ask me further questions.
I plan on switching to another company as soon as I can.
Absolutely worst company ever. Do not order from this company. Negligent! Will not reimburse you. Extremely late with products and shipping, took 2 months to get a mask from this company and it was the wrong color, tried getting refunded and they refused to do so.
I was naive to sell my art last xmas with them per some friends requests but never received my commission. They just keep saying it was sent with 0 proof of it so I let it go as lesson learned from scammers online that's all they really are. Filed complaint with BBB

Tip for consumers:
production times are between 5 and 10 days, depending on the type of order, shipping varies: this is a Canadian company, and within Canada regular express post was fairly quick. For shipments international, it again depends what service you select, but also on delays in customs.

Art Of Where (AOW) is a website where an artist can create and sell custom printed clothing as well as a few other miscellaneous items; its also a website where normal consumers may customize said items and purchase them for themselves. The designing platform they provide is very simple and user-friendly, and once a user gets well familiarized with it, can get very creative in designing or customizing the items they offer. While AOW does offer some quality items, the selection is relatively limited. As a graphic designer who is in the process establishing my own graphic based clothing line, I would like to see AOW further diversify their stock items to include adding some men's clothing. However, for now, the selection caters exclusively to women and girls as far as clothing items are concerned.
You will wait for over a week to get an email response from them. Their customer service phone doesn't work. They play the game because you've already paid them. They don't care if your customer give you a bad review because they sleep on your email for weeks.
It's so frustrating when a beautiful product doesn't have the customer support to allow for successful sales. Their customer service is as slow as the mail. You have to email them and wait days. An email dialog back and forth takes days also waiting for each reply from them!
If the matter is urgent, you are out of luck because when you call ( not a toll free number to Canada), you are on hold literally for hours. I've never gotten through!
Then there is serious defective sewing that I'm so bummed about. The straps on the large tote bags have no reinforced stitching and tore right open when I gently tugged sideways.
And a big tease in their mock ups is that only one strap color shows on the mock up so you are out of luck showing the best match for your design. They were not interested in fixing that.
Their youth leggings were so tight on the children I tested them on that I dropped the product. The recommended sizes were not appropriate. The kids were uncomfortable in the leggings.
So, there are better POD companies coming into the scene every few months and better to avoid the headache and stress of this company.
Tip for consumers:
Always order samples and check reviews!

I ordered a 26" square silk scarf to test quality from this print-on-demand company (about to be used by a client.)
The very affordable scarf was described as 8mm 100% silk habotai with "machine rolled edges." Also advertised was a choice of thread colors. I did notice I was never offered a choice of thread color. Going back I still don't find that choice anywhere in the ordering process. The resulting scarf arrived with black thread serged edges. Perhaps in some worlds a serged edge = a machine rolled edge? Very disappointing
The site offers no easy option for customer service and no forum for communication among users. I won't use again.
Tip for consumers:
I cannot comment on other products - they may be fine. The printing itselfwas good.

The waistband is about 4" and on my tummy, it rolls over and over, ugly and uncomfortable. And they run SMALL - REALLY SMALL. The quality is great and I love the pattern, but the fit…. Blah!
I am an artist printing my art on AOW products. I put my 3rd order in a few weeks ago (Sept 2019). My largest yet at $600. I had some questions in regard to the order and sent an email to customer service. Over the ENTIRE next day I exchanged emails with someone who didn't quite understand, or did not want to understand my questions. I asked several times for the person to call me. I also called and left a message at their listed number (as no one answered). I have never received a call back and it is now days away from October. I am not sure if they are still printing my order. They have charged my cc but I have not had any other interaction. I went as far as to send a letter to HQ and have not heard back from them either. I will not be ordering again from a company who can take my money but is not willing to speak to me on the phone when I have concerns about an order. When you take someones money you work for them and need to act like their business matters. To put it mildly your customer service sucks and no matter how nicely made your products might be, I will not be buying from your company again.
Tip for consumers:
If you need to use Print on Demand, Try GOOTEN. Turn around time is usually 4 days for totes and zip pouches. The bags material is not as heavy as from AOW, but the print is good and the sewing done in USA on most items. And Gooten has excellent customer service!
Quality and customer service is horrible. At first service seed great but after pandemic the quality of the materials tanked. Customer service is unresponsive and rude.
