I absolutely love having Honey installed on my Chrome browser. I am huge on finding the best deals possible so oftentimes I already have a coupon for something before looking at honey. On more than one occasion Honey has gotten me an even bigger discount then what I had originally. I love it when it pops up at the time of checkout and I get to watch all the coupons be applied and see the different prices. I would recommend this to anyone.
I have over $100 in vested "Honey Gold" in my account but their website won't allow me to complete the redemption process - it just freezes after I hit the submit button. Multiple inquiries to their customer service email with no responses. No other way to reach them. They blocked me on Twitter when I DM'd them for help! Never experienced anything like this with any other cashback site. Scammers.

I've been with Honey.com for many years now, despite multiple problems over that time. The most recent is that, tho being logged in on my Honey account? I am continuously being asked to "log into my account". And of course, when having done so? Honey doesn't recognize having done so! Making my previously established "droplists" irrelevant, and new ones can't be opened. When it worked? I worked reasonably well! Not NOW THOUGH!.Who ever wrote the site-programming...needs to go back to school!
Recently purchased a pair of shoes on Zappos which Honey was offering a cashback reward for the purchase. Appeared as pending on my account then disappeared after a week. Reached out to Honey support. Long story short they were not going to honor the cash back offer.

Cash Back for purchase
Okay, I love Honey. They have coupons for so many sites that I use and if not, they frequently give cash back ("honey gold"). It's so nice that it's just a browser extension instead of having to search for coupons. My only critique is that I have had "pending" honey gold points for MONTHS. I have had 418 "pending" honey gold points for purchases I made months ago.
I have accumulated gold and can't redeem them.
Worst customer service, no answer to emails or to the chat.
Worthless
They removed all of the redeem options in the UK, without so much as a message.
The many points I earned (and which earned them money) are now worthless.
This is worse than bad, its fraudulent.
I was given an offer of $100 Bonus Honey Gold on a purchase. The reward did not post to my honey account after I made the purchase. I contacted their customer service multiple. I got no reply. After 6 months, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (against PayPal who owns Honey).
They gave me a canned response that stated:
"We determined your Honey account is not eligible for this reward as we found your account's behavior to be in violation of the Honey terms".
And "PayPal reserves the right to suspend or terminate, in its sole and absolute discretion, your participation in the PayPal Rewards Program".
And "termination of your participation in the Rewards Program (or your PayPal account) will result in the immediate forfeiture of all Points and unused Rewards".
I have no idea what behavior they were referring too. I did nothing out of the ordinary. I was never given a warning about anything. Or told that anything I did even irritated Honey in the slightest. I suspect I will never know.
But they did terminate my account and confiscated the entire balance of my account (which wasn't significant).
I will avoid them like the plague.

Tip for consumers:
Avoid Honey. You can do better.
Honey is supposed to find coupons and discounts for products online, mainly Amazon. On Amazon.com, it suggests different sellers with lower prices for the same item sold by Amazon. It also tracks price history and graphs the price changes. None of this works on Amazon.co.uk. Simply put, if you live in the UK, don't waste your time. They offer Honey "gold" on eBay purchases. Collect 1400 honey gold and get a £10 gift card. Only it takes up to 90 days to get the gold credited to your account... if at all. Again, if you live in the UK, don't waste your time. It's basically useless.
I ordered Shari's Berries using a "Honey" deal with their gift card. Shari's missed the delivery date and refunded the money to Honey. My Honey account does not show the refund. I have emailed multiple times with no response. They do not list a phone number on their website so you have to Google it. I finally found it, and I have left messages with no response. I guess I am out $130. Thanks Honey for being a scam artist.
I hate Honey. Money isn't worth the hassle to use it. They stopped phone support. They have been told that their site is too difficult multiple times. Don't get a gift card! BIG HASSLE TO USE!

It is supposed to reward purchases with honey gold, where applicable, that you can then redeem for gift vouchers. I have made 12 purchases that have not been rewarded any honeygold and customer services are useless. Nearly 20 emails and I am getting nowhere. Worst service I've ever had.
Tip for consumers:
Try a different cashback site and check the reviews first.

This is a cashback site so purchases from shops are made through it however I am still waiting for cashback!!
The store policy of issuing a credit instead of refund should be communicated at all times even if it says on the receipt. I returned an item an was told it's a credit only. It's $160 sitting in a Honey bank account. This is highway robbery. I could have used that money to feed my family. Terrible
Amazing app. I have been extremely happy with it so far. It scans for multiple coupons found online and applies the viable one to orders. And, the company does what they advertise.
Honey points accumulate which allows the customer to apply them to gift certificates offered through their website. I've been using the app for about a year now, and they have sent me about $20 in gift certificates of my choosing.
Transaction after transaction do not qualify. Macy's, Walmart, Lowes. It works in the beginning and then you have to fight for every nickel. Really bogus

do not bother

I used Honey as a browser extension for quite a while, most notably on Amazon. Shopping over a great variety of items, I found that the savings that Honey finds for all of the items is either the same savings as Amazon, Walmart, Target etc, and when it does find a difference, it doesn't seem to be more than 25 to 50 cents cheaper. I believe that Honey takes up some unnecessary computer/tablet/phone system resources, which can slow your device down. Not worth it to me.
I am trying to redeem $169 for the last 6 days, with no luck. I send multiple emails, chat, Twitter messages, still not a single response since then. Don't waste time using this cashback site.
Tip for consumers:
Never use this site

Its a cashback site
The website is scan after collecting many gold they will not answer you by chat & even, they will ignore you even block you.
I requested more than 5 redemption e-gift once they know you are right they will block, don't believe such website.
It's a scam. When I purchased the gift card they did not ask me for confirmation and I do not have proof anymore. It suddenly made the transaction go through even when it did not ask me for confirmation. I do not remember clicking it and would remember if shown. Refund this asap please Paypal team.
I purchased a major appliance with joinhoney.com with Home Depot. I never received credit for it. I contacted Joinhoney and they never got me the points. My transaction on Joinhoney said "Ineligible." I had the same thing with Apple purchased with honey. On the contrary, when I do the exact same purchases on American Airlines Shopping, I get points from both Apple and Home Depot for the exact same types of purchases. Honey is either incompetent or a total scam and they are keeping the money.
Avoid them like the plague. FYI, it looks like they were purchased by Paypal. I hope you like offshore customer service. ;)
Beware of using their Checkout with Gift Card feature. If something goes wrong with the transaction, you are out the money you used to purchase the gift card through them. I used the system to purchase a Lowes card. Lowes system had an error on the order, cleared the money from the card and would not rectify the situation. Honey was of no help either.
I have saved so much in coupons alone. It is worth downloading this button. When I have problems not getting app to activate then I am alerted to checkout issues. A nice little feature.(I had Shop Pay automatically activating and asking for a code which was more than annoying.) Customer Service has been kind and helpful. I have been using for five or six months. I have a $10 reward that I can use for a gift card now. I really have been using to find coupons. There is a pop-up where additional cashback happens if you purchase something in 2 hours or so. I have used that once or twice. Overall, a good money saving app.
Tip for consumers:
They have a good customer service team.

I use the coupon service a great deal. I do not really keep track of the cashback, but over six months or so I have already earned a $10 gift card without really trying.
Worked great for about a year. I saved up a substantial amount of Honey and now it does not work when I attempt to redeem it. Honey chat wont talk to me and Honey email no response. Seems like paypal just wants to keep the money for them selves.
Tip for consumers:
Find another site to use.
