I wanted to open a CD account and this bank has the best rates I could find that month. I attempted to open an account online. I submitted my driver's license several times and I kept getting emails saying they needed it again. Then I started getting emails asking for my lease, a copy of my car registration, voter registration, info that NO bank has ever asked me for. I did not send it but did reach out to them for three weeks through email, online chat support, and internal messaging. They NEVER responded.
Tip for consumers:
Try calling them. I did, but as I live in another time zone, it was not easy to reach them. They never responded through electronic means.
I have been a member of NASAFCU for over 10 years and I have seen the degradation in their service hands on. Now I am about to pull my money out and go elsewhere. In short, I am not sure I can trust my money in the hands of such incompetent organization. Just as simple as setting your pin on my debt card took 30 minutes and could not resolve the issue. I have spoken to 4 reps and they keep sending me in circles and still not resolved. For all that stay with them, good luck!
