**Background:** Upon delivery, I signed for the furniture, confirming it was not externally damaged. However, a severe defect emerged later – a toxic, noxious smell emanating from the drawers. This odor is so potent that it renders the furniture unusable, contaminating clothing and causing physical discomfort.
**Manufacturer's Defect:** The issue is clearly a manufacturing defect, as the exterior was undamaged. The defect only became apparent when the drawers were opened, after the delivery team had left.
**Efforts for Resolution:** I have made multiple attempts to resolve this issue with Bob's Furniture. This included missing three days of work to accommodate their delivery and inspection schedules. Their specialist acknowledged the problem, yet subsequent deliveries have failed to rectify the issue, despite promises to the contrary. Each time, the delivered furniture exhibited the same unacceptable odor.
**Impact:** This situation has not only caused inconvenience but also affected my health and that of my husband, who is disabled. We have suffered from the toxic smell, lost workdays, and endured stress due to the ongoing issues with Bob's Furniture.
