My mother has dementia and has gotten herself on dozens of phony charities' mailing lists. Most of them stopped their mailings when asked to do so. I have been writing to these vile people for over 2 years, telling them to STOP these mailings. They ignore everything, and keep regularly sending my mother more crap, in hopes of squeezing some more money out of her. People who prey on the elderly and disabled are the very worst kinds of people.

My mother has dementia and has fallen into the trap of being on the "sucker list" of thousands of charities. She has been giving ever-increasing amounts of money to an ever-growing list of these charities. Starting in May of 2021, we have been contacting these charities and asking them to cease and desist from sending my mother these mailing begging for more and more money. Most of the charities have ceased these mailings, but a few are absolutely relentless.

Greenpeace is among the worst of these offenders. I have been writing to these vile people for over 2 years, telling them to STOP these mailings. They ignore everything, and keep regularly sending my mother more crap, in hopes of squeezing more money out of her. People who prey on the elderly and disabled are the very worst kinds of people.

Greenpeace has been one of the most aggressive and egregious of the charities pursuing my mother for larger and larger donations. I sent then a letter and an email in May, 2021, explaining the situation and asking them to stop the mailings. Most of the more responsible charities responded positively, and agreed to stop the mailings. Not these people - they completely ignored both my letter and my email, and they continued to send regular begging mailings, usually asking for ever-larger amounts, as well as asking her to put them in her will.

As a son with a POA, looking out for my mother's welfare, I intercept most of the mailings these people send to my mother. All of it gets mailed back to them, telling them yet again to stop the mailings. All of gets ignored, and the mailings still continue unabated over two years later.

My mother has dementia and has fallen into the trap of being on the "sucker list" of thousands of charities, dozens of Native American charities in particular.

Nativepartnership.org operates under at least two front organizations: Northern Plains Reservation Aid and Southwest Reservation Aid. They were among the most aggressive and egregious of the charities pursuing my mother for larger and larger donations. I sent both of these fronts a letter and an email in May, 2021, explaining the situation and asking them to stop the mailings. Most of the more responsible Native American charities responded positively, and agreed to stop the mailings. At least two even offered to refund the most recent donations. Not these people - they completely ignored both my letter and my email, and they continued to send regular begging mailings, usually asking for ever-larger amounts between $1000 and $5000, as well as asking her to put them in her will.

As a son with a POA, looking out for my mother's welfare, I intercept most of the mailings these people send to my mother. All of it gets mailed back to whichever front sent it, telling them yet again to stop the mailings. All of gets ignored, and the mailings still continue unabated a year later.

I have emailed their fronts, Northern Plains Reservation Aid and Southwest Reservation Aid, repeatedly over the last year. No response, and the begging mailings continue to this day. We have repeatedly called them. They hide behind a phone maze system, and it is impossible to reach a person. Their phone maze is set up with a box for requesting removal from their mailings. We have left them numerous requests to stop the mailings, and they continue to ignore everything and they keep sending my mother sob story mailings requesting large donations.

Tip for consumers:
Once they get your contact information, they will cling to it forever.

PWNA is a national 501c3 nonprofit with BBB accreditation. One of the largest Native-led and Native-serving charities, we have been serving Indian Country for more than 30 years. Our work is supported by individual donors who are concerned about quality of life for Native Americans. Our bonafide programs such as Northern Plains Reservation Aid and Southwest Reservation Aid are officially registered as DBAs or programs of PWNA; we have eight in total – all are listed on our BBB report and linked to from our website at NativePartnership.org.

Simply returning mail or emailing the programs will not notify the Database Department that you want to stop future mailings. We include an 800 number in our privacy policy just for this purpose. We also have an effective process for processing requests to stop mailings, but to assist you, we need more information (e.g., your mother’s name and address so we can find her in the database).

We have assigned Jasey to help you reach a speedy resolution to this concern. Jasey is on standby at 214 217-2600 x 109 to assist with your request; just say you are following up on your sitejabber review and request to stop emails to your mother.

Verified purchase

This site claims to offer Joe Biden "I did that" stickers. They claim they are made in USA. The cost is about 4 times what the same things made in China cost from Amazon. Because they claimed Made in USA, I paid the substantial premium to order from them instead of Amazon.

After placing the order, about a week went by and I go no contact, as promised on their site, about shipping the product. I sent them emails every day, asking for the status of the order. No response at all. I finally sent them an email telling them to cancel the order. Of course they ignored that, too.

After looking at the web site with a more critical eye, it's clearly a scam - other than taking money for the stickers, the web site has nothing at all on it. No information at all about the company - no name, no address, no email, no phone, no products other than these stickers. I contacted my credit card company and disputed the charge.

About 3 weeks after placing the order, and with no notification about shipping the order, as promised on their site at the time of the order, I got a package in the mail from NY. No company name, just a street address. I think it's a fake address too, because when I look it up on Google Maps, the address changes from Springfield Gardens, NY ******* to Rochdale, NY *******

Inside were the stickers, clearly marked MADE IN CHINA. I wrote the company again about that. Of course no response. Even if the credit card company denies my dispute because I finally received the order, I will be disputing the charge again due to the false advertising.

Tip for consumers:
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SITE

MARCH 30,2022 UPDATE - This company is obviously scamming these reviews, just as their business model consists of scamming you for your business. Note that this "Chris E." started responding to every review back in November of 2021. Before this company decided to combat all their negative reviews with this fake PR program, almost all their reviews were negative. Now, in 2022, especially March of 2022, every day they get glowing reviews from people. The glowing reviews started appearing at the same time this "Chris E." started making excuses and phony apologies for each bad review, so obviously the company caught on to the bad reviews they were getting, and both the responses and the sudden emergence of daily positive reviews are part of their deception program to counter all the bad reviews they are getting.

Tip for consumers:
Caveat Emptor - go ahead and believe the fake reviews if you want to - you've been warned.

I wasn't about to fall for their scam in the first place - now after reading the reviews, I'm sure they are packing this site with fake reviews

They waste 10-15 minutes of your time, while they show you dozens of fake "progress" screens for something that really only would take seconds to retrieve. Then after suckering you in with all their phony progress screens and having you click on various boxes to make sure you're still along for the ride, they hit you with what it's really all about - getting your money. The next part of their scam is to then try to entice you to give them your credit card info for a $1 "trial membership" with free reports. Once they get your credit card info and you are "subscribed", you will find they have designed it so it is extremely difficult to cancel that membership, and then the real charges will start piling up.

Further proof of their dishonesty is the way they post all these fake reviews, both on their site and on another site they apparently control - consumeraffairs.com All phony glowing reviews. OTOH, here, where the reviews are honest and written by real people, it's all 1 star reviews.

Any company that conducts its business with such deception is inherently dishonest. Don't give them any money

I have bought several times from onlinemetals.com over the years. I though the shipping was quite expensive, but I just assumed it was because these were pieces 6 and 7 feet long. Other than that, I was satisfied.

I recently wanted to get several small pieces of several different types of brass, bronze, steel, and stainless steel, from their "random 10-12" size selection. In other words, end pieces. The entire order would have fit in a USPS large flat rate box. This shipping for the first piece, 1" bronze tube, was $23.85. This is for a hollow tube less than a foot long. Maybe that's a minimum shipping charge? Nope, the next piece I added to my cart, just one little 10-12" piece of 1/2" steel round bar, caused the shipping to jump to $38.60! Each subsequent item I put in the cart caused the shipping charge to jump up nearly as much as the piece of metal cost. This is all small stuff; diameters in the 1/2" to 3/4" range, all 10-12" long.

After the shipping cost got up to about $45, the next piece I added caused the shipping to jump to $65! This is all for stuff that would fit into a flat rate box. Their web site says USPS shipping is available, but it wasn't an option at checkout.

I called the company to ask about getting this order put into a flat rate box. Their "customer service" could not have been more disinterested in being helpful. The woman just kept repeating her mantra "we don't ship via USPS". Her demeanor throughout the conversation was "this is how it is and if you don't like it, we don't care". How hard is it to ship USPS? They provide the boxes for FREE, they will deliver empty boxes, and pick up filled boxes for shipping.

I also was interested in purchasing one of their "value packs", which sound pretty good. They have 5,10, and 20 pound "protoboxes" which contain a variety of sizes, shapes, and alloys. They offer these in each of several metals, including brass, steel, and stainless (separate protoboxes for each metal). I called the company again, to ask if they label what the materials are in each box. Again, total disinterest in being helpful and couldn't care less about customer satisfaction. I tried to explain that, without labels on a box of random pieces of different alloys for each metal, there's no way to be sure what alloy I would be trying to work with. All I cold get from this woman (not sure if it was the same one or not - certainly the same attitude) was "perhaps you can tell the alloy from looking at the piece."

Their "About Us" page brags about their wonderful customer service and how customer service is the backbone of their business. All total BS. I wrote an email to their sales department about my dissatisfaction with being overcharged for shipping and with the indifferent attitudes I encountered. I got an auto-reply, claiming that they would be getting back to me very soon. Well, that was about a week and a half ago, and I haven't heard from them yet.

I bought my metals from another supplier, and I won't be using onlinemetals.com again until they fix their bad customer service and stop gouging customers on the shipping.
