On July 26th I placed an order for compression socks, which I needed for a trip to Greece, which left on September 9th. I also ordered a pair of socks from Bombas (which arrived in a matter of days). After about a month, when I hadn't received the Magellan's order or been charged for it, I forgot about it, since I already had socks for the flight. On October 1st, once I'd returned home, the Magelllan's socks arrived. I immediately put them back in their package, applied the label provided and mailed them back USPS. When my refund appeared (3 weeks later) it was for $19.00, not the $31.27 I'd originally paid (which included free shipping). I was never given the option of paying for return shipping, which would have cost about $1.00 based on weight. When I checked their website it states that $10.95 will be deducted for shipping on return orders. They actually deducted $11.99. With all the merchants who provide free shipping these days, under the circumstance (waiting over 2 months for a pair or socks!), I feel like this fee could/should have been waived. But no. When I called Customer Service I got nowhere. So I will never be shopping at Magellan's or Travel Smith (same company) again.
