TERRIBLE Service, POOR Excuse for Customer Support. DISHONEST Management.
AVOID this service at all costs. My family and I purchased 3 movie rentals during Memorial Day weekend, each with 30 days to watch. We watched 2 of them that night, but the 3rd movie Tom Hanks Neighborhood we invited family over Friday night June 12th for movie night.
The Fandango screen on the Sony TV indicated 9 days left to begin viewing, but did not have a Watch Now button, just Trailer, Synopsis, and $20 PURCHASE OPTIONS. We then tried the same on AppleTV and in Mac and PC web interfaces trying to figure out what we were doing wrong.
Calling Support kept two different phones on hold for over 2 hours with NO RESPONSE, NO on-hold music or messages, nothing. BLACK HOLE.
After several attempts I was able to get someone to respond to on-line chat, and was told "Sorry, the Studio pulled the film from rental rights. Contact them." I not so politely told them my business transaction was NOT with the STUDIO but was with FANDANGO, and expected them to make it right.
That agent was not authorized to help in any way, no refund, no watch, nothing. After a lengthy plea I was able to get him to transfer me to Corporate Admin department, who basically said the same thing. They REFUSED to make it right and said he had many other chats on hold, and terminated the session in RUDE manner.
Save yourself the frustration, and AVOID FANDANGO at ALL COSTS. We used to purchase tickets weekly from them, but NEVER AGAIN. THey've lost my trust. This is a DISHONEST BUSINESS, business term used lightly. It's RUN BY CROOKS.
