Groupon used to be a great resource for saving money but in recent years they have gone steadily down hill to the point where they have become quite shady. Most recently, I purchased a Groupon for duct cleaning. The merchant arrived at my home and told me their hose wasn't large enough to reach my furnace room. They apologized and advised me to contact Groupon for a refund. When I did so, I was informed my "cooling off" period had expired and no refund would be granted. Of course I will get a chargeback on my credit card but how many people don't realize that they have recourse to counter this kind of unethical cash grab? Beware Groupon!
