The host canceled my reservation last minute,
Both the host and Toro website promise to return the money - my deposit - payment within 24 hours. 7 Days later still no money back in my account.
American Express confirmed that Turo is still sitting on my money. And the turo app almost impossible to get past the robot.
I am Very disappointed
When I rent from Hertz my deposit is return to my credit card within 24 hours.
Also most credit card or private insurance companies do not cover for any damage that might occur to the car so it forces you to buy the highest level of insurance.
I recommend you don't use this site. Unless you for sure know all of the expenses you're getting into there are a lot of
Additional hidden fees - expenses. Definitely cheaper and easier to rent from a major company in most cases.
At least make sure you pick a very good host with lots of experience and good reviews.
Otherwise I recommend do not use this site.
Tip for consumers:
Lots of hidden expenses and fees. Most credit card and regular insurance companies do not cover insurance for a sharing a car. So it forces you to buy the most expensive insurance. And terrible refund policy takes a long time if you get it at all
