I purchased a used uncertified Savage Arms MSR 10 - I could see a little muzzle corrosion in picture online. When the gun arrived, I went to the FFL Dealer Fred's Outdoors to pick the gun up. There I noticed rusted bolts and was told by the FFL Dealers staff that no magazine came in the box with the gun. As we continued the inspection we pulled back the side charging handle assembly and noticed that the hook portion was broken off. I immediately called guns.com and spoke with Gina - I was asked to email pictures, which I did. I refused to take transfer of the gun because of the broken peice (mechanical defect) and requested a full refund. Guns.com position is even though the gun clearly has a broken peice as long as it shoots they are fine with that. Savage Arms the manufacturer designed that hook there for a reason. Guns.com wants to charge me for original shipping, $30.00 return shipping and a 15% restocking fee. I filed an complaint with the BBB and was told all I had to do was to apply a little gum cleaner to dissolve the rust - the gun should have never been sent out in that condition especially having a mechanical defect.
