Question:

Can i get scammed on poshmark

Answer:

You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!

Question:

Do you actually recieve the item you purchased?

Answer:

It depends... you have to do a lot of research on the seller and even then good apples can go bad. I have gotten a few items that weren't as described. I have heard of other ladies getting empty boxes, something completely different or just dirty items. I have met a lot of wonderful women on Posh... but one person can burn you quick. And I do know first hand their customer service is horrible!

Question:

A friend of mine had her first sale - sold boots for $50, the buyer a week later is now selling them for $70 using my picture! is this allowed?

Answer:

I mean why do you care about a picture? The shoes are no longer in your possession and you got the money that you sold them for why does it matter what price they put them up for? Then you gotta think they have seller fees so they would have to price them at $70 just to get the $50 back that they paid for them. Stop being petty smh

Question:

Who do i contact since my money was debited from my account for a pair of ugg boots that i purchased on poshmark and when i email the seller, she will not respond?

Answer:

It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!

Question:

How can i get my seller to send the item i've paid for? jean holder cobralegalservices@gmail.com the first purse i ordered, i didn't hear. i did get a refund. then i ordered another purse, another seller, but again, a week goes by and i don't know if she's going to send it or not. i'm really confused and wondering if i'm being scammed if i wait too long. i ordered some earrings and the people were wonderful. responded immediately and sent it out the very next day! great price, too!

Answer:

I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...

Question:

Can others see what i buy? i had a posher comment on an item in her closet, telling me it matched something i purchased months ago from another seller. how do she do that?

Answer:

She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
