I had to order a replacement because my first pair had some kind of burn marks on one of the lens and the replacement is perfect. They fit well and I love the frame. One of the few that fits by big head lol. I had order from coastal before but this has been the only one that I needed to replace. They were quick to help and their chat was really easy and simple to use so I like that.

The glasses frames are a fairly cheap plastic, but I needed a pair due to COVID shutting down my normal provider. Should have known better. They broke 4 months in so I contacted customer support to get either a replacement or a refund based on the policies on their website. Coastal said ship them back we will give you a refund. But now 30 days after they broke and over 2 weeks past the automated email saying the return was recieved I have no refund and customer service ignores any emails sent.

Tip for consumers:
go to your eye doctor first and have them make your RX so when you go to coastal all you would need is that.

I ordered the "free" pair with their introductory deal, after a PD mishap on my part I ended up getting them for an additional 16 bucks in shipping costs, no biggie. I like the frames but I think the lense quality and scratch coating is terrible. I've had them less than six months and I have a large scratch already, and I made sure to only clean my glasses lightly and sparingly. Would probably go with another online eye glass retailer, they do have alright frames, but obviously not to warrant their normal prices.

Had a problem with silver-rimmed frames began to deteriorate after a few months. Coastal replaced them. Very helpful. Satisfied customer.

I am so impressed with this company! Not only do they carry the contacts that I need, they are a good price, and they also ship to FPO addresses which is extremely helpful as I am currently stationed in Spain. Even overseas shipping has been fantastic, I usually receive them within a week or so of them being shipped. Highly recommend!

I have been buying glasses from Coastal.com. In the last year I bought 7 pairs. However, one of the recently purchased pairs has what seems to be a manufacturing defect. These glasses have an anti scratch/anti blue light coating and the lenses are streaked. It is impossible to see through them. The frames are fine. I thought it would be simple to get a refund or replacement but that is not the case. The company first insisted to have a photograph of the streaks. Then they didn't like the photograph. Said it looked like scratches not streaks and I should send more photographs. I have spent over an hour to get the photos they wanted and now they told me I have to wait further for an optician to review the photos. I am shocked. I will not buy again.

Yesterday I received a reply from Coastal.com. They stated that they would not replace the lenses because "Upon checking, the warranty has lapsed the given time frame." These glasses were shipped in April 2021 and received in May 2021. Coastal offers a one year warranty for manufacturing defects. So now the company is acknowledging the manufacturing defect but refusing to honor its own warranty!

Tip for consumers:
Once you pay the money, it's just luck if you get a useable product.

No issues. Glasses took a bit longer to arrive once shipped as they were in customs longer than anticipated. As I ordered progressives they actually arrived before they were supposed to so no complaints.

Update. I have now ordered from them multiple times. Glasses are usually in hand within a week.The only complaint I have is that sometimes they will send their branded case instead of the maker's.

When i went online and i found my contacts on the coastal website for HALF of the other prices i ordered immediately... then after about 5 mins i decided i should of looked into reviews. And i did. And most of the reviews were terrible,, it made me panic that i made a mistake on ordering through them and i was seriously stressing for the next few days... but it all went smooth, my contacts shipped and arrived on time and i have no complaints... i think when ordering just consider it takes a few days to ship out, they dont ship right away and i knew that going in... so im satisfied!
And also the contacts were left in my mailbox. Im happy about that since i live in a townhome with apartment like setting with multiple neighbors and i have a problem with delivery drivers leavi g packages on my door without knocking :( ... so im happy it was in my mailbox :)

DO NOT ORDER FROM COASTAL CONTACTS! Ordered 6 boxes of contact lenses with each box contains 90-day daily wear contacts lenses. They ended up shipping me 6 boxes of 30-day daily wear contacts. They cheated the consumer at their website. I called and complained and they simply said that I've looked at it wrong. However, the price I paid for is significant much more than their 30-day contacts! This company is also operated under CONTACTS DIRECT. I would definitely AVOID shopping from any of these companies!

I ordered from this company before my prescription expired they are terrible customer service never got back to me then they told me they couldn't fill my prescription because it was then expired even though they waited and allowed it to expire do not use this company.

I was able to get a big discount using the free glasses deal, but since my prescription is a little strong, I still was charged for high index lenses. Add in the shipping & taxes, and the total came to 58.83. I was also able to try the glasses for 30 days before they charged my card. I received the glasses with just a few short days, and tried them out for a week. Everything came in good condition and they fit well. Unfortunately, I could not see out of them. I know it's not the prescription, because I've gotten a new pair from somewhere else, and I can see out of them just fine. After a week of making sure my eyes needed to adjust, I was able to return them with no fuss, and my card was never charged. Friendly and prompt service when contacting them via email. Gave it a try, but it just didn't work out for me.

THE ORIGINAL REVIEW (updated to include only the facts): The only positive things I can say about this company is that sometimes their shipping speed is quick and that they offer free return shipping. Mine came with mismatched hinges that broke in one day. Their size details for frames can be confusing. They cancel orders if they decide that you shouldn't have been allowed to use a promo code. They have the worst customer service of any company that I have ever seen - when I wrote to complain, they responded with a nasty email accusing me of violating every rule under the sun."

I love these guys! Super easy online ordering. Just upload your RX and pick out frames. Easy! I love that they offer a wide variety of frame sizes. One size DOES NOT fit all guys! I have a wider face so women's glasses from sites like Warby Parker just don't sit right. The glasses are great quality and survive what I put them through! Super happy customer.

The glasses that I bought are such a great quality, I'm very pleased with how they came out. I was able to get buy one get one free for a Presidents' Day sale and they came much sooner than expected! I would definitely recommend to a friend

Been waiting for my contact order since 12/17. Every time I have called I am told they are not sure what the delay is and will call me back in 1-2 days. Guess what? No call back! I've talked to Red, AJ and Mamety. None of them called me back. Mamety was to have a supervisor Eleni contacted me "within an hr" that was 8 hours ago. While typing this review, I called again and and insisted on talking to a supervisor. I just wanted my order cancelled at this point. I found them elsewhere for $500 less. I was finally able to talk to Eleni and I would give her, alone, 5 starts. She was understanding, apologetic and helpful. That being said, I am keeping my review at 1 star. Even though Eleni was great, trying to get my problem solved over the course of 5 days is totally not worth it. Go elsewhere and spend less $ and have less of a headache

They keep advertising for progressive lenses but they do not tell you that you can't get Blue light blocker with progressive lenses... bummer...
Their nice frames do me no good.

I have ordered from them several times. Your not going to get a pair of $300.00 frames for free but it is worth it if all you are doing is paying for shipping. If your buying them just for a spare set then great but if your getting them for everyday use then upgrade to the uv coating and extra scratch resistant protection. Cost $58.00 total for the upgrade and shipping and they arrived 9 days earlier than they said they would.
Overall it is a great deal if your getting your first pair free.

I have been ordering contacts from coastal for 5 years. I had an auto refill somehow that I did not authorize. The worst part about it, is the auto refill was for double the amount of the contact order I normally place, for $528. I received an email at 6:30am saying the doctor approved my order and it would ship in 3-5 days. At 12:00 noon, called customer service to report I did not place this order nor authorize it. I was told it was too late to cancel the order but when the contacts come in to call back and they would send me a return label. I asked for the return label to be sent to me now, so that I would have it when the contacts come. I was told the order hadn't been processed so I couldn't get a return label. Stupid as He--, if the order haven't been processed I should be able to get a refund! I will never use the company again!

I have been buying my glasses online for a couple years now and have gotten pretty experienced with shopping online for cheap prescription glasses. Coastal has a good variety of glasses and they offer the right variety of upgrades as a cheap price for me. The do not have all of the designer brands that exist like tag hauer but they have enough for a really good selection.

Really awesome service. I cannot say anything about their customer service, but that's because I never needed to use them - because their products work, and they work really well.

I have ordered 3 pair of glasses from here, all on separate occasions, and they usually ship them within 1-2 business days after ordering them! That is quick! The prescription is always accurate, and their glasses are always good quality. They aren't the greatest, but you get what you pay for.

People, if you want excellent glasses, with excellent customer service, don't assume you're entitled to that when you get your pair for free, or pay a measly $30 for them.
